Have you ever heard about Scalextric Cars? Is this any special car which is different then a normal car? It’s seems to be same as racing car. It is a mini model of a racing car which is designed for the purpose of personal entertainment. We enjoy video games on gaming console. At that moment, we can only experience audio and visuals, where all objects are just a picture not a real one. The British firm created a first minimodel of this type of car in 1950. They introduced another range of clockwork powered racing car systems known as Scalex in 1952 which was renamed as a Scalextric after modifying into electric systems with the combination of two words, Scalex and Electric.
The first track was being made from a rubber compound with two parallel groves. Initially, Scalextric Car was being produced in metal. Now, the car and track both are being produced in plastic, which is cheaper and easier to mould than any other material. It was designed in 1:32 scale model first. The next model in 1:24 scale was introduced at the end of 1960s to meet the high demand in Europe and US. The Scalextric Car models of 1970s and 1980s were great but it was slow and difficult to race it with modern Scalextric Cars, you can enhance their performance on the track by upgrading them with modern Scalextric system. The modern Scalextric slot cars are very popular choice in Europe for serious home racers and come in exciting models with realistic designs & colours.
